Frequently Asked Questions
Your comfort matters. Here are answers to some of the most common questions I receive about massage therapy, what to expect, and how to prepare for your session at Tranquil Escape.
-
What should I expect during my first massage? Before your session begins, we’ll take a few minutes to discuss your goals, preferences, and any areas of concern. You’ll be given privacy to undress to your comfort level and settle onto the massage table. I’ll always check in on pressure, comfort, and make sure you feel safe and supported throughout your session.
-
What should I wear to my appointment?Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Most clients undress to their level of comfort and are fully draped during the session. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered at any time.
-
What massage techniques do you offer?I offer a range of therapeutic styles including Deep Tissue, Swedish, Hot Stone Therapy, Cupping, and Prenatal Massage. Each session is customized to your needs, and you’re welcome to request a combination of techniques.
-
Do you offer prenatal massage?Yes! I specialize in prenatal massage and have a specialized hydraulic table that allows expecting mothers to lie comfortably and safely on their stomach. It’s a nurturing and relieving experience during every stage of pregnancy.
-
Do you accept insurance or auto accident claims?Yes, I’m happy to accept personal insurance and provide billing for automotive accident injuries. Please reach out before your session to confirm eligibility and bring any necessary documents.
-
What is your cancellation policy?I ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. This allows me to offer that time to another client. No-shows or late cancellations may be subject to a fee.
-
How should I prepare for my massage? It’s best to arrive a few minutes early to relax and settle in. Make sure you’re hydrated, and feel free to communicate any preferences or sensitivities before we begin.
-
How often should I get a massage? This depends on your goals. For general stress relief and relaxation, once a month is great. For injury recovery or chronic pain, more frequent sessions may be recommended. I’ll work with you to create a plan that fits your lifestyle and needs.
